Très intéressant spécimen de weloganite provenant de la célèbre carrière Francon. Le cristal principal, bien développé, présente une morphologie prismatique allongée avec des faces nettes et des stries caractéristiques, témoignant d’une croissance bien définie.
Sa teinte incolore à blanchâtre, avec une légère translucidité, contraste élégamment avec la matrice environnante plus sombre et granuleuse. De fines inclusions et microcristaux accentuent le relief et apportent une texture supplémentaire à l’ensemble.
La weloganite, espèce rare et emblématique de Francon, est ici représentée par un cristal isolé de belle qualité pour ce gisement, ce qui en fait une pièce particulièrement intéressante d’un point de vue minéralogique.
 
A very interesting weloganite specimen from the famous Francon Quarry. The main crystal is well developed, showing an elongated prismatic habit with sharp faces and characteristic striations, indicative of well-defined crystal growth.
Its colorless to whitish tone, with slight translucency, contrasts nicely with the darker, granular matrix. Fine inclusions and microcrystals enhance the texture and visual depth of the specimen.
Weloganite, a rare and emblematic species from Francon, is represented here by a well-isolated crystal of good quality for the locality, making it particularly appealing from a mineralogical standpoint.
