Les cristaux de vanadinite présentent un habitus hexagonal court à tabulaire, avec des faces bien développées et brillantes. Leur transparence partielle et leur éclat résineux à adamantin renforcent l’intensité de la couleur, particulièrement lumineuse sur les arêtes et les zones les plus fines.
La descloizite, plus sombre, forme des zones massives à microcristallisées en arrière-plan, apportant un contraste marqué qui met en valeur les cristaux orangés.
 
A superb and classic Mammoth association featuring a rich cluster of vanadinite crystals in orange to honey-brown tones, contrasted by darker areas of descloizite.
The vanadinite crystals display a short hexagonal to tabular habit, with well-developed, lustrous faces. Their partial transparency and resinous to adamantine luster enhance the vivid coloration, especially along edges and thinner zones.
Descloizite appears as darker, massive to microcrystalline areas in the background, providing strong contrast that highlights the orange crystals.
