Esthétique spécimen de thomsonite provenant de Cilaos, sur l’île de La Réunion, localité volcanique réputée pour ses zéolites de qualité.
La pièce présente une cristallisation abondante de thomsonite, développée en agrégats radiés et sphérulitiques blancs à translucides, composés de fins cristaux aciculaires. Ces structures en éventails et en rosettes donnent un aspect très dynamique et lumineux à l’ensemble.
On observe également des formes botryoïdales blanchâtres à légèrement nacrées, contrastant avec des cristaux plus transparents, parfois bien individualisés, aux faces nettes et au lustre vitreux. Quelques inclusions jaunâtres à verdâtres ponctuent la surface, probablement liées à des phases secondaires ou à des altérations superficielles, ajoutant de la profondeur visuelle.
 
A highly aesthetic specimen of thomsonite from Cilaos, on La Réunion Island, a volcanic locality renowned for high-quality zeolite minerals.
The specimen displays abundant crystallization of thomsonite in radiating and spherulitic aggregates, white to translucent, composed of fine acicular crystals. These fan-shaped and rosette structures create a very dynamic and luminous appearance.
Also present are botryoidal white to slightly pearly forms, contrasting with more transparent, well-defined crystals showing sharp faces and vitreous luster. Small yellowish to greenish inclusions are scattered across the surface, likely related to secondary phases or surface alteration, adding visual depth.
