Très belle ferristrunzite, anciennement étiquetée strunzite, provenant de Blaton, Hainaut, Belgique, et plus précisément du Mont-des-Groseillers. Cette localité est particulièrement intéressante pour les phosphates secondaires ferrifères, et le matériau autrefois décrit comme strunzite de Blaton a depuis été réétudié et identifié comme ferristrunzite.
Le spécimen présente une spectaculaire profusion de cristaux aciculaires extrêmement fins, réunis en faisceaux divergents, gerbes radiées et agrégats fibroradiés. Les aiguilles se développent dans toutes les directions sur une matrice sombre, formant une couverture particulièrement dense dans la partie inférieure et centrale de la pièce. Plusieurs gerbes montrent des cristaux relativement longs et bien individualisés, avec un allongement très marqué et des faces longitudinales nettes.
 
Very fine ferristrunzite, historically labelled as strunzite, from Blaton, Hainaut, Belgium, more precisely from Mont-des-Groseillers. This locality is particularly noteworthy for its iron-bearing secondary phosphates, and material originally described as strunzite from Blaton was subsequently re-examined and identified as ferristrunzite.
The specimen displays a spectacular profusion of extremely fine acicular crystals, arranged in divergent sprays, radiating bundles and fibrous-radiating aggregates. The needles extend in all directions across a dark matrix, forming a particularly dense crystalline coating across the central and lower portions of the specimen. Several sprays contain relatively long, well-individualized crystals, with a strongly elongated habit and well-defined longitudinal faces.
