Scorodite | Le Franciman, France - Micromount
Belle association de scorodite en cristaux et agrégats radiés bleu-vert pâle à gris-vert, développés sur une matrice sombre riche en oxydes et hydroxydes de fer. Les cristallisations montrent de nombreux petits cristaux translucides, regroupés en bouquets et agrégats rayonnants, donnant à l’ensemble un aspect particulièrement esthétique sous le microscope.
La mine du Franciman, à Saint-Jean-de-Jeannes dans le Tarn, constitue une localité française bien connue pour la scorodite.
Fine scorodite specimen displaying pale blue-green to grey-green crystals and radiating aggregates developed on a dark iron-rich matrix. Numerous small translucent crystals form attractive radial clusters and rosettes, creating a particularly aesthetic microscopic specimen.
The Le Franciman Mine, at Saint-Jean-de-Jeannes in the Tarn department, is a well-documented French locality for scorodite.
