Superbe microcristal de monazite-(Ce) provenant de Hopffeldboden (Autriche), posé sur une gangue claire riche en petits cristaux translucides. La monazite se présente sous la forme d’un cristal bien individualisé, à la teinte jaune miel à jaune verdâtre, avec une transparence partielle qui laisse deviner de fines structures internes.
La cristallisation est particulièrement esthétique : les faces sont nettes, brillantes, avec une géométrie très lisible et une terminaison bien formée, donnant au cristal un aspect “gemmy” malgré sa taille micromount. Le contraste entre la couleur chaude de la monazite et la gangue blanche lumineuse met parfaitement en valeur le cristal, rendant l’ensemble très photogénique.
 
Beautiful micromount specimen of monazite-(Ce) from Hopffeldboden, Austria, sitting on a bright, pale matrix with small translucent crystals. The monazite forms a well-isolated crystal showing a pleasing honey-yellow to yellow-green colour, with partial transparency revealing subtle internal features.
Crystallization is especially attractive: sharp, well-defined faces with good lustre and a clean termination give the crystal a distinctly “gemmy” look despite its micromount size. The warm tone of the monazite contrasts perfectly with the white, luminous matrix, making the specimen highly photogenic and visually striking.
