Superbe spécimen d’hémimorphite provenant du célèbre gisement de Moanda, au Gabon, connu pour ses minéralisations zincifères riches et variées.
La pièce présente des cristaux bien formés, transparents à incolores, développés en agrégats prismatiques à tabulaires, aux faces nettes et à l’éclat vitreux éclatant. Les cristaux montrent localement une légère teinte miel à jaunâtre, typique de certaines hémimorphites de cette localité.
Ces cristaux reposent sur une matrice contrastée composée de structures botryoïdales brunâtres à terreuses, probablement liées à des oxydes de fer ou de manganèse, apportant un contraste marqué entre la brillance des cristaux et l’aspect mat du support.
 
A superb specimen of hemimorphite from the well-known Moanda deposit in Gabon, famous for its rich zinc mineralization.
The piece displays well-formed, transparent to colorless crystals, arranged in prismatic to tabular aggregates, with sharp faces and a bright vitreous luster. Some crystals show a slight honey to yellowish tint, typical of hemimorphite from this locality.
These crystals rest on a contrasting matrix composed of brown botryoidal structures, likely iron or manganese oxides, creating a strong visual contrast between the shiny crystals and the matte background.
