Très beau cristal d’axinite de l’Arbizon, présentant une remarquable combinaison de volume, transparence et qualité de cristallisation. Le cristal principal, d’une teinte brun violacé à brun miel, montre un habitus typiquement aplati et allongé, avec de grandes faces parfaitement développées et un éclat vitreux soutenu.
 
Very attractive axinite crystal from Arbizon, Hautes-Pyrénées, France, displaying an excellent combination of size, transparency and crystal development. The main crystal shows a rich brownish-violet to honey-brown colour, with the characteristic flattened and elongated habit of axinite, broad well-developed faces and a strong vitreous lustre.
