Très bel andradite de Sferlùn, dans le Val Malenco, présentant un remarquable cristal jaune-vert à vert pâle, translucide à localement presque transparent, parfaitement mis en valeur par la matrice blanche fibreuse.
Le cristal principal montre un habitus nettement dodecaédrique, avec plusieurs faces bien développées et particulièrement brillantes. La lumière pénètre largement dans l’individu, révélant une belle profondeur de couleur et une transparence inhabituelle pour ce type de matériel. Les arêtes sont bien individualisées et certaines faces présentent un lustre vitreux très marqué.
 
Very attractive andradite from Sferlùn, Val Malenco, featuring a remarkable yellowish-green to pale green crystal, translucent to locally almost transparent, beautifully contrasting with the white fibrous matrix.
The main crystal displays a distinctly dodecahedral habit, with several broad, well-developed and highly lustrous faces. Light penetrates deeply into the crystal, revealing attractive colour depth and transparency that are particularly appealing for this material. The edges are clearly defined and several faces display a strong vitreous lustre.
