Cette élégante association d’anatase et de brookite se développe sur la célèbre matrice rose de Shap Pink, en Angleterre. Les cristaux d’anatase, d’un noir profond à l’éclat métallique, présentent des formes bien définies et se détachent nettement sur le fond clair de feldspath rose.
Autour des cristaux principaux se développent de délicates lames de brookite gris acier, disposées en agrégats rayonnants et entrecroisés. La coexistence de ces deux polymorphes du dioxyde de titane constitue un intérêt minéralogique particulier
 
This elegant anatase–brookite association is hosted on the famous pink Shap Pink feldspar matrix from England. The anatase crystals, displaying a deep black color and metallic luster, are well developed and stand out sharply against the pale pink background.
Surrounding the main crystals are delicate steel-gray brookite blades arranged in radiating and intergrown aggregates. The coexistence of these two titanium dioxide polymorphs is of particular mineralogical interest
